Among the most underrated fitness accessories, elastic resistance bands can be used by everyone, both principles and fitness experts, and are very inexpensive. For a set of rubber bands you will spend less than a bottle of your favorite alcohol and will last much longer.

On the market there are two types of fitness elastic bands to be used for toning and strength development exercises: one type is the elastic bands, thin and wide, the other of the tubulars which often also includes handles at the ends, to use the handle . Furthermore, the resistance varies according to the color: normally the lighter colors correspond to a lower resistance, on the contrary to the dark colors a greater one.


Elastic training offers the advantages of weight training or the ability to tone and strengthen muscles but without the contraindications that involve training with barbells and dumbbells: that is, overloading the muscle.

They are an accessory widely used by swimmers and climbers, who appreciate the double benefit: the muscle remains contracted both in the concentric phase and in the eccentric phase, a difference in weight. In practice it manages to fully train the muscle fibers in both contractions. So with less time and more effectively.
